Book Release Order

I was wanting to check on the interest levels on the next book I release being the next Spellscribed Book, or instead the next Spellscribed: Tales book which will go over what happened to everyone after the end of Conviction.

Let me know in the comments?

  2. hm......... id like the next spellscribed, however if you do the tales first and then the regular series a month later i wouldnt complain too badly, though while im thinking his imprisonment lasts awhile, I really hope selene doesn't go off the deep end with other men like she had started to at the end of book 3, I really kinda liked her as a character and I'm really starting to hate the ps power style of lets have the main characters g/f sleep around while he does nothing about it.......... If she does do it, drop her like a rock.

    2. I completely agree with everything you just said. That part at the end of the book where he described walking in on her right before she cheated on him left a really bad taste in my mouth. Its also why I can't read P.S. Power books. I can't stand the main character getting cheated on all the time. Please, if she does cheat on him, she has to go away. Which would be a shame because I like her as a character.

  3. I want to see the next book in the spellscribed series first, not a book of short stories about the characters.

  4. Unfortunately it is a toss up to which I would prefer to be released first. I personally like story lines that mostly just stick with one main character (Supporting cast is important, but a lot of authors crowd out the main character). As such I am looking forward to the next Spellscribed book. However the second Tales book looks likely to cover events that occur before the majority of the next Spellscribed book ( I realized I could be wrong on this hypothesis). If that is correct it seems like everything might flow better if the Tales book is released first, even though I am more interested in the next Spellscribed book.

  5. Definitly a toss up between another installment or a tales book. If the tales book comes first, try not to wait too long on the next installment then.

    1. I am intending on there being 5 books to the Spellscribed series, with around 3 supplemental Tales books on the side.

  7. I would prefer for you to release the next instalment of spellscribed rather that its supplementary tales. But mainly I wish to thank you for the great job your doing. :)

  17. I am torn because I would really like to know what happened during the time skip in Provenance, that made the characters act like they did at the end of the book. At the same time, I really hope that the new Tales doesn't disillusion me from reading book 4. I was honestly very upset at the ending of book 4 and I really love the series. I left a review on Amazon that explained how I felt about the book, but I do believe it would make the most sense to put out Tales first and then book 4 a few weeks later. Personally, I think I will read book 4 first to see if it gets back on the "right track" so to speak before I venture back into Provenance time skip territory. I am a true fan of your books Mr. Cruz and I hope you keep them coming! As a fan, I just didn't like where the characters ended up and how you got the story to where you wanted it to go at the end of Provenance. Please take the story back to the spirit of the first 2 books and make me happy again if at all possible (with no time skips!). I eagerly await reading book 4 nonetheless and enjoy your work!!!

    1. I am still alive, but there have been issues with my editor and artist that are making my release of Spellscribed - Resurgence delayed.

I am sorry. I'll get it out there as soon as I can. :)

    2. Can't wait. Is there somewhere where I can register my interest so that I can be advised of its release?
